The same lips she desperately wants to kiss. She turns to Ace, whose eyes are glued to her, “Are you ready, Ace?” she asks, as she watches a smile appear on his lips. “Thanks, mom, dad,” she says, as she forces a smile. “Now you two hav a good time, “ her dad says, as he places his arm firmly around her mom’s shoulders, the two very much like teenagers in love. She feels Ace release her and take a step to his left, putting a little distance between them. Nancy takes a steadying breath before her mom says, “This is great,” she says, as her smile widens. She does her best to stay still, but with his warm body so close, she feels herself melting. “Alright, perfect, now…one…two…three,” she says before taking a string of pictures.

Nancy has to stifle a gasp at the close contact. Ace clears his throat before putting his arm around her shoulders, and bringing her close to his side. She watches as her mom runs to the kitchen to get her phone before coming back, “Okay, now, I need you two to get close together,” she says, with a knowing smile.

Nancy usually hates taking pictures of any kind, but with Ace standing just a few feet away from her and his familiar pot/vanilla scent invading her senses, she can’t bring herself to argue. “We definitely need to get our daughter’s date calling us cool on film,” says her mom to her dad, with a sunny smile. And just for the record, it would take a lot to scare me off,” he says with a glint in his mesmerizing blue eyes. Nancy gives both her parents a smile before turning to Ace, “I’m glad to see they haven’t succeeded in scaring you away,” she says, her heart doing somersaults, as Ace’s smile widens, “Nah, they're actually pretty cool. She swallows soundly, as she swiftly shifts her eyes away, and looks over at her parents, standing on the opposite side of the staircase from Ace, “There she is,” says her dad with a smile. Her heart skips a beat as she meets his ocean blue eyes, a smile playing on his amazing lips. She has to admit that he does look cute in it but she’ll never admit it to him. Her eyes travel over his vast chest and broad shoulders. Nancy makes her way down a few steps before spotting Ace in his heart shaped shirt that he had somehow convinced her to wear after fighting back and forth at the Claw for nearly an hour. She makes her way out into the hallway and around the corner to the stairs.

She quickly walks into her room, slips on her black flats, and then grabs her clutch from the top of her drawers. “Nancy, your date is here,” yells her dad from downstairs. When she’s done with everything, she smiles into the mirror. She smooths out her dress, makes sure that her hair looks neat in her half up do, and ensures that her make-up looks even. Nancy stands in front of her mirror in the bathroom.
